MARCH 2011...................

Taylors third grade field trip to The Buttes. It is the only "mountain" we have around here! I have a hard time even calling it a mountain when I grew up in Utah next to Mountain ranges everywhere!
Mrs. Patton was her teacher. Such a great teacher and she even taught them cursive a lost art!!

Makenna started softball and loved it.

Set up my backdrop and just did some random pics. I would love to edit all of these but its just not going to happen so they will just have to stay this way! The kids make them cute enough!!

Makenna cut bangs! She is always up with the latest trends and fashion. It will be nice so she can keep the rest of us in check and dressed in the right era!

Yeaaaa the babies are here! Wow two baby boys and they were not little! That makes five kids.

FEBRUARY 2011..............

Girls having fun with friends.  The saddest part is that one of these girls has already moved back east and the other one will be moving to Utah in a couple weeks.  Makes me sad.

Happy Valentine's Day with Davis in his Kindergarten class.  I was helping them make their heart crafts. 

This is one of the last pictures of Taylor I got without her braces. Man is she growing up! 

I had to use Will as my model one day getting ready to take some pictures for a Dental office.  He's a pretty nice looking model if you ask me!

JANUARY 2011................

Kate got her first haircut!!! Well her first big girl one. We have a friend that comes to our house to cut hair and did it for her. This was the before shot, she is thrilled!!

Our trip to Cabo was so fun. Tons of family came and it is such a nice getaway. My mom is too nice and comes almost every January to watch the kids for us. It has been a great way for them to spend time with Nana, who they beg to see all the time!

blogging overwhelment (not a word)................!

Kate's face says how I feel about blogging sometimes. Overwhelmed and want to cry cause i have so much i have missed!!! So because I have all of these pics on my computer from 2011 I am going back. I am breaking the rules of blogging and going back and am doing a short recap of 2011. Only a picture or two from each month, I can handle that right!!!!???????

Our Family November 2011........

The years and weeks are flying by! I can't believe it is March 2012 already. The days seem long sometimes but weeks are flying by. So many days I feel inadequate as a mom but everytime I look at pictures I remember why I do the things I do. Love all these people so much!

Grandpa Barrett.....

It's hard to find the right words to express

everything i feel about my Grandpa and family.

My Grandpa was one of the most unique people i know.

If there was one thing Grandpa Barrett loved it was life.

He would drop anything at anytime to go sail on the ocean,

ski with his grandkids, snowmobile with his son and grandson,

boogie board with his granddaughter (me) and all her cheerleading

buddies, head to magic mountain and go on every single ride,

bbq by the beach, design and make jewlery, play instruments,

make stain glass windows, design cockpits for airplanes,

write the most creative letters and birthday cards to grandkids,

fish, sail on the ocean, sail on the ocean, oh and sail on the ocean.

Grandpa was the definition of a beach bum! He loved

everything about the beach and ocean and lived near or on the ocean

for years! The list goes on and on about the fun life Grandpa lived.

The older i get the more i realize that family is not perfect. Things happen and families change but one thing

doesn't and it is the memories and love that exist

and keep that family alive.

The one thing i took away from this memorial was

life is not perfect heartache is there but we can live each day

with happiness and create our own memories.

Long Beach....

We headed down to Long Beach for my Grandpa Barretts memorial 2 weeks ago.

It was so neat! More pics and words on it coming!
